School District

Richlandtown is part of the Quakertown Community School District (QCSD)

Emergency Notifications

Richlandtown Borough uses the Swift911 System to notify residents of potential emergencies and for snow and ice declarations. The Borough has implemented the Swift911 emergency notification system to better serve the residents of Richlandtown during major events involving the Borough. If you are already registered to receive these notices please be sure to download the Swift911 App on your cell phone. To register Text Swift911 to 99538. You can also register your landline phone at www.swiftreach.com. The borough office will also be more than happy to register your residence for you by calling 215-538-9290. When a snow/winter weather emergency is declared the borough does offer alternative parking at Benner Hall located at 1260 Cherry Road and at the Richlandtown Fire House (in the back lot) at 125 S. Main Street until the emergency has been lifted.

Taxes

Richlandtown has a Tax Collector, which is an elected position.  The borough tax collector is currently responsible for the collection of all property taxes for both Bucks County and Richlandtown Borough.

Listed below are property tax rates for all property owners in Richlandtown:
Richlandtown Borough (5 mills for 2022-2023)
Bucks County (23.2 mills for 2022)
The above are paid to the Richlandtown Borough Tax Collector.
Quakertown Community School District (QCSD) (149.73 mills for 2022)
The above is paid to the School District.

In addition, all employed Richlandtown Residents are also responsible for payment of the Earned Income Tax (EIT)

U.S. Mail Delivery

If your new home does not have either a curbside mailbox or there is no cluster box, contact the U.S. Postal Service to arrange for P.O. Box mail delivery. The nearest location is the Richlandtown Post Office.  It is located at the corner of Richlandtown Pike and East Pumping Station Road. The USPS now offers class “E” post office boxes free of charge to all residents of Richlandtown that must use the Post Office for their mail. Other classes of post office boxes (providing a wider range of mail options) are available for a fee.

Voting

To vote in the primary and general elections, there is a single polling place located in Richlandtown.   It is the St. John’s Lutheran Church Activity Center, located at the corner of First Ave. and W. Union St.
